50 minutes and counting then I'm rolling to the cabin to install my last food plot over this weekend.
I bought a 15" Walmart sub, a large pizza, and a case of Natty Light. Keeping it simple since I'll be solo this weekend.
My bachelor bfast, lunch, and dinner for the weekend.

Just acquired an outstanding property to hunt. Been talkin to the land owner about it for a while and finally met with him and walked it.

Going to do some bush hogging for them the next couple days and will hang a cam.

I have high hopes already! Great bedding areas, nice secluded fields, and great creeks/drainages that are going to b sick to use as entrance/exit trails.

The owners all about me turning some ground for food plots also.

Just got done checking on my plots. They are completely soaked , but it didn't rain hard enough to wash 'em out. Peas are sprouting in bot big plots along with 2-3" sprouts of oats and wheat. The small plots is well on its way to being a great radish plot. The corn in the back field in head high and giving the farm a whole new feel. Super pumped for November!

My parents are in! We went out to dinner and I stuffed my face full of bread pudding. Man, I love that stuff!

Anyway, Dad brought down some of his famous homemade chili for hotdogs, along with some slaw. I can't wait for tomorrow as there ain't nothing better in this world than a good ole West Virginia chili dog with slaw!

They both look great, feel great and it sure is nice to be able to spend some time with them!

I would be pumped as well Jesse. Sounds really nice.

Glad to hear it Diane.

I cranked out some killer hours this week. I am taking tomorrow to put one last spray on the plots before we seed them in the very near future. Tomorrow night I lined up a sitter and have a surprise date for the wife and I. Sometimes we need to reward ourselves for the hard work. Tomorrow is my day. (As if spraying plots and doing work is a reward. Well it is if you are a hunter. lol) Can't wait to surprise the wifey! Motorcycle ride around the lake and a nice meal at a local seafood restaurant is the plan.

Not good on the wallet, but this is good. I unexpectedly bought a Mathews helium today. It was on sale for $650. Brand new, set up. I'm very happy with it, and love how it shoots. Anybody looking for a bear lights out hit me up lol.

I had a very productive day today. I got my cornhole boards ready to clear coat, power washed the whole frigging house, got my hair cut, and bought the wife a little something something to show my appreciation for all she has done for me in getting ready for my bear trip. Now I am kicking back with friends and family, waiting on the wife to get here from work, sipping on a sassparilla and getting ready to listen to a kick ass band by the name of Backbone at the Barn. Life is good.

Finally staked up my two peach trees today and put some more compost around them. Planted this spring and already producing fruit. Unbelievable! Sprayed my gravel around my shop and barn. Finished spraying my last plot to get in. Came home, showered up. Took my wife on a nice ride down by Indian Lake on the motorcycle and ate at Captain's Point. Excellent meal and service. Finished up the evening with more riding and hanging with the neighbors around their bon fire. Long day but a great day. Tomorrow I am off to Columbus with our boys to see my brother and his twin babies. Then off to see Mr Milo. Shaping up to be a pretty nice weekend!
