14,700. It's gonna be windy, cold, and a good bit of snow on ground. I say a whole lot less hunters out. Not to mention there is a lot of football on TV this weekend that will have guys saying to hell with it

If the numbers are truly down as much as the gun season numbers show I think the muzzy season will show the same trend. There were cold windy days with snow for gun season and honestly I prefer those over the warm days of previous years (or this past fall muzzy weekend). The football aspect to draw hunters away has generally always been there.

Just looked at the weather forecast. It's going to be 0 to 13 on Monday and Tuesday. In the 30's on Saturday and Sunday.
Damn that's too cold. That's going to make a lot of hunters stay home or hunt only couple really cold hours and quit. IMHO

Now I ask you what self respecting deer hunter would rather stay home and watch a football game? OH the shame of it.
