It's never a given. I've seen both teams come out of nowhere and win this game in a major upset. It's the most looked forward to and the most dreaded game of the year to an Alabama or Auburn fan. It doesn't matter what the rankings are, it's always a 50/50 shot. Maybe that's why it's college footballs greatest rivalry. Hell. They refused to play each other from 1907 to 1948 because they couldn't find unbiased referees to officiate the game.

The OSU UM game is a rivalry for sure. But it's not close to the rivalry of the Iron bowl. It's more like the Alabama LSU rivalry. This is a state divided of two power teams in a game older than the OSU vs UM game.
