8, I let a small one go. I only have 5 DPs but if I could catch more than one a day that would be sweet. I didn't set my traps til the beginning of December. They sure do love this tuna though!

A few of mine have shellfish oil on the bottom and tuna on top, I've caught a couple with that. I'm going to grab some sardines on Wednesday, a buddy of mine has been doing good with them also.

I use chunk white tuna or even canned cat food with some sort of fish flavor. Either one you use can bait about 6-8 DP traps fairly easy. You don't need much in the bottom of the DP at all. I only put enough in the bottom to hit the trigger and just a very small amount on the ground next to the DP. I have used the sardines a few years ago and found it worked OK but the coon here like the tuna or wet canned cat food better.

Nice fur on this one. Didn't expect to catch any today.

Ordered six number 5 coon stretchers and a green english 16 inch fleshing knife. Minnesota trap line has a sale going on now, half dozen number 5 stretchers for $38.88. Couldn't pass that deal up.
