Hey Tiff, sorry I'm not from down that way, can't say - my place is down in Adams and I'll be going down to check out in a couple of weeks.
Can't honestly say that I got the eye to gauge it from year to year - but I remember not long ago one year the acorns were so thick on the ground that it was like walking on marbles - I got a pic somewhere of acorns laying in a little wash on a hillside 2" deep - hell, the deer didn't even have to move, they'd just lay under an oak and they'd fall in their mouths. I hope we have a good year, but not too good.
Don't worry about this crowd - they ain't so tuff. Giles' old lady is tougher than him.
You said "All replies are appreciated".....rotflmao Watch what you ask for around here.....
Welcome to TOO. Usually helps quite a bit if you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about you. My remark was all in good fun. Hope you stick around to see what we are about. Best group of guys you will EVER find on the internet.
I'm with most of the others that have replied, I don't live in that area. We did reply though inquiring a little about you and welcoming. So turn that sand into a pearl and join the fun.
Scroll thru some threads. Make some posts. Get to know us. You will find a lot of busting chops takes place here. We are just trying to get to know you. When a first post is "how are the acorns this year" or "where can I find a 140" buck in county xyz" or similar. . . .people can get a little uneasy. It appears like someone is trolling for a freebie. Not saying this is the case. Just initial impressions since we don't know you. Make yourself at home. Seriously.
