I listen to 10-15 hours of podcasts a week and often come across material I think you all would enjoy. I'm going to make a conscious effort going forward to share what I listen to in hopes some of you will find the same enjoyment that I find from listening to these shows. I'll share a couple of my favorite shows, then leave you with a specific episode I think many of you will enjoy. If you have a smartphone, you can get these on iTunes or on BeyondPod on Android. Most will have them available on YouTube as well. My subscriptions include:
The Joe Rogan Experience
The Fighter & The Kid Podcast
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
The HawkCast with AJ Hawk
Radiolab
The Onnit Podcast
Rogan is powerful and has the top podcast in the world on a routine basis. If you want to learn and have the time, you're missing out by not listening to him. The Fighter & The Kid is hilarious and well worth the listen. Dan Carlin has some amazing podcasts that are essentially history lectures and his one on WWI called Blueprint for Armageddon is absolutely amazing. I'm listening to the first episode of King of Kings right now. It culminates in the battle that was the basis for the movie 300. AJ's podcast is pretty decent and his one with Kirk Herbstreit is awesome if you are a Buckeye fan. Radiolab will blow your mind with amazing science shit and the Onnit podcast is about human optimization.
For you military guys, check out http://www.range15.com/. This is a movie funded by vets and most of the actors are vets. They did a podcast with Schaub and Callen, which is awesome. Anyone who's done time in the military should watch/listen to this episode and watch the trailer for Range 15 on their website. I found this very interesting and can't wait to watch the movie!
