Proposed Deer Seasons and bag limits

Just read another proposal.

The ODNR Division of Wildlife also proposed modifications for hunting on public land that would permit hunters to harvest only one antlerless deer from public hunting areas per license year and require that only antlered deer be harvested on public land after Dec. 2. This proposal would allow for some herd growth on public land. The statewide bag limit was proposed to remain at six deer, only one of which may be antlered, and a hunter cannot exceed a county bag limit.

That’s awesome! See how that slows the Amish down.

Be interested to see just how many deer that actually is. I'll send an email tomorrow. I seem to remember bringing that up to a state man years ago whose name sounds similar to fullofshit and his response was it won't work because people will just shoot them earlier because they know they can't wait until later.

I think the 1 doe limit would have more of an impact than the Dec 2 date.

I didn't see any verbage to distinguish the difference. Just guessing here. Maybe counties offering early antlerless tags versus just the either or tags?
It's the same as it has been since they offered the doe tags. Dark green counties get a doe tag, light green do not.
