I use one of those Velcro belts that has pockets for hand warmers...you can get them at cvs pretty cheap. They are for back pain but I use it for sitting in really cold weather.....put it on before putting on the outer layers and it’ll keep your core warm all day.
Great tips. Hand muff and book blankets are two of my favorites for those really cold late season days.
