I was in Jtown over the weekend and hunted a friends property Saturday evening. The wind was hollowing but regardless the deer were still moving. I passed a doe around 530 and around 615 it happened....

The wind really picked up and I heard the first tree fall... that got my attention but I figured what the hell Ill hang out. 10 min later....

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Three trees fell and I swear it sounded like a giant walking through the woods knocking down trees! My friend called and recomended we leave. I agreed, gathered my stuff. Started down the ladder, when...

CRACK! BOOM! CRASH!

A tree landed 50 yards from me!

Folks, Im not a tough guy, but it takes alot to trigger my fight or flight response. I RAN OUT OF THE WOODS!!

Talk about freaky! As i was leaving trees were popping and cracking all around me. I was like they wete following me trying to push me out of the woods....lol

So, next time thete are high wind warnings..... Im listening...lol

Crazy stuff. There's so much standing dead ash that I presume we'll deal with this for a few more years.

If you have the availability too, I’d take a saw too every one of those bastards.... I know Chuck doesn’t, but anyone who does, should.....

What fun would it be teasing you about something that you didn’t hit with your wife’s truck?
As that what this symbol means? I need to stay in a bubble while she calms down?
