Our 2006 F350 was in need of some loving. Bought some used fenders, a hood, grill, and upgraded headlights. One fender was rusted. Hood and other fender had clear coat peeling and paint as well. Cheaper to find a couple used pieces than to have ours painted.
I post mainly because of the grill/headlight upgrade. If you have an older Superduty this is an easy facelift. Ours will really spring forward because we had the older style sealed beam lights. It looked like a 99-04 XL model even though it is an 06.
New or used parts work. New aren't terrible in the aftermarket. We simply found them used. Under $40 in adapters on top of $400 in used parts and we are rust free, painted, and have a fresh grill and lights. Much cheaper than a new truck or paying the paint shop to do it. Granted I'll have some payroll in it too, still cheaper than a body shop.
