cold shot

this is kinda big for me. my first yote. I've had several chances over the years, but missed every damn one of them. and this is the first critter to meets its demise at my hands on Ground Zero. happy to eliminate some competition. 
It's ok, they are all born to die in bloody pieces. I have another ready to fill the vacancy in my quiver...

Anybody still shooting? Last night's chilly windy cold shot. 15 yards, still a rookie.
Yep! Put a cold shot into my deer target the other day and made a heart shot. Went out behind the house that night and hunted from the ground... : Had a doe fawn slip in behind me where I was vulnerable. Long story short I got winded and came home empty handed. Still trying for another!

Yep. I dusted off a hybrid longbow yesterday. Shot at 20, first shot was on the mark, as were the arrows I launched afterwards. I always shot that bow well. Still do apparently. I may buy a tag.
I ran home at lunch today to shoot a few dozen arrows before the big(ger) freeze. Not sure how much I'll try to shoot the next few days. Probably my best cold shot yet.
