Damn!!!! I worked with a guy years ago who broadsided a cow on a 2 lane state route down in Louisiana around Barksdale AFB....

Damn "J" that must of been a rude awakening... Hope the guy recovered 100 percent.. They fly by my house at night on bikes and there's always deer,bears etc crossing the road... These rice rockets are doing close to 100 mph. Gotta wonder where their brains are..
He had lasting affects from it, migraines were the worst part of it as well as constant back pain. But he persevered and retired when he was due to, not early like he probably could have.
I never understood the people that rode in AK...anyone that has drive in AK in the summer understands what I’m saying. Not much joy in the driving roads. Between traffic and animals, it’s a handful.
Deer are a concern every time I ride one of the motorcycles. Maybe it is fortunate I don't have time to put many miles on them.

Well like everything else use the brains God gave you when operating them and you'll be ok... Funny we were talking about this yesterday and last night around 1 AM I could hear one getting on it shifting gears a mile away, he was just a SWOOSHhhhhhhhhh going by my house... Now what if a deer stepped out (wooded on both sides of the road) in front of him.... He'd be history.... Can you say: " PLAIN STUPID ".....
Right on. AND there was a reason I had a 6-8yr window of NOT owning a road bike. I knew I lacked the self discipline necessary to be on the road. I'm over that now. When I ride it is a leisurely cruise.
