I certainly don’t need another deer but I may be able to donate a doe if I can get one on private in Athens. We will see much desire I have once it gets closer

My son and I are planning on shooting our muzzleloaders tomorrow to get them sighted in.
I may go shoot my muzzle loader simply because I haven't for awhile. We area two deer county. I cannot hunt unless I go to another county.
All set for ML did some practicing today: Lee 429 lead over enough FFG should do it.
I forgot how much I like the smell of bp.
I may rethink my shooting routines and really get into the bp hobby.

Im headed to Ohio on Thursday. I have been looking forward to this trip since last ML season.
Checked my ground blind this AM good thing too due to winds it needed to be tied down better. Lots of deer tracks and poop out front of the blind and healthy looking grass. Looks promising overall.

Sadly, I still didn't complete my Buckhorn conversion. One of these days I'll make the switch and go to Barnes bullets. Until then, atta do pig.

I’ll be getting packed for deer camp tonight. I’ll be hanging out low along the creek this weekend.
You should try that new stand below Buck Run for one of the evening sits....just sayin'

Mother nature looks like she is going to play nice for us come Saturday morning. Rain switching to 1-3" of snow during day, 1-2" overnight Saturday night. More coming Tuesday 
We're planning to duck hunt in the AM on Saturday, then we're switching gears and hitting a big chunk of private ground I have access to that's in the midst of all the WNF in the Marietta unit. It should be a fun afternoon! Taking Tracie out Sunday AM & PM to try and get it done for the 16th time. Come on weekend!
I believe I'll be hunting one last go around since deer should be getting pushed around but I'll be using a crossbow. I'm out a sabots (I swear I had a pack left) and don't feel like spending any more money for one morning hunt.
