I'm a commercial mason building schools hospitals and big projects mainly. I do some work in the evenings and weekends. I started in late June finishing in a hair over 2 months due to limited time working on the side....
I started another project after prime deer hunting and worked with winter approaching I covered the outside due to temps and started after the new year on the face of a fireplace for my parents. I just finished washing it so it will look different dry.....pre wash

i cut and and split the mantel like a bow stave slippery elm and cooked it in a block smoker consulted Jamie for finish. They love it. I still have to tile the floor after they paint and take the chimney from the roof up. I'm tired of side work but thought I'd share what I've been doing since I'm not catching fish.
