Switched stands for the evening hunt as to not be tempted by the doves. I believe I found my lunch time activity tomorrow…tasty morsels are testing my patience

A man could shoot a limit of big fox squirrels here. Heads like tennis balls.
Hunting what my buddies call "the killing tree." They've both killed good ones here in prior years. I have not. Close range shots. Better for their crossbows. Heavy heavy heavy cover. Nobody has hunted it this year. One of them nursing a back injury. Other one has too many heath issues to hunt anymore. Hoping to make my buddies proud.
Odds are in your favor Kevin. I'd live in that blind until something died from that blind.....its your year buddy!

We've been in about 40 minutes. Bumped 4 doe and sm buck on entry. Nice evening to follow blood.

Been in since 3:00. This stand must have a neon sign above it. I’ve been busted every time I’ve hunted it…but it’s in the right spot. Might have to put more thought into it.

Mother in law visiting baby means a little stand time for me finally!
My inlaws are coming tomorrow through Monday to see the kid too, so I took a few days off work and will damn sure be out. Unfortunately I think I’m coming down with a cold so that sucks

46° and the wind is as calm as it can be. Have a little one in the cut beanfield already eating whatever standing beans are left around the deadfall along the field's edge while I'm just patientally waiting for the last hour, hoping for much better deer action here soon.
