About a week ago Levi and I headed down to the river for a couple days, Just trying to get a last trip in before school started. The kid used to love fishing but the fugging computer and video games are beating me out.
Fishing for big cats is just about the last fish, that gets him off the couch. It's always a road trip for us, we just don't have them in numbers in central Ohio. We spent 3 days down there, fishing was slow. I don't know if it was the lack of flow or they were still sitting on beds or what.
Despite the slow fishing levi did keep the game up with his personal best Flathead coming in at 44" and 34#'s. Man I love watching kids put fish in the boat like that. It just wears them out. At one point he says " Dad, my knees are shaking " lol.
The best thing about it is there's no cell service there!
And I did put a respectable 20# 36" in the boat.
