I gotta turn in my company truck Monday and take on a new position. With this I will be getting muddy all day every day. Only vehicle I currently have to drive is my tow rig. Which is fine but I have a coffee can that can buy me a commuter vehicle. Something used but not used up. 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive doesn't make a difference. Car, truck, suv, minivan...4 tires and reliable. 50,000 miles or 200,000 doesn't make a difference, well maintained is the idea. $500-$5,000 is my comfort range but would spend up to $10,000 on the right vehicle. That would be a very well maintained Tacoma with a solid frame.

I'm in no hurry to buy anything. What I have currently works just fine. I would just prefer to keep the miles off my truck and keep it clean. Keep me in mind if you come across something like this. I can buy something off the internet but I would rather know the history of the vehicle. Might save someone the hassle of dealing with posting it and sorting out the spam too. Or getting screwed on a trade in offer. I'm not interested in trying to screw anyone or get screwed either. Most of you guys have my personal number, but if you don't, just shoot me message or post here and I'll send it to you. I will rock a VW bug convertible with flowers painted on it. I don't care about looks, function is what I need. I'm gonna destroy the interior, so it doesn't have to be clean either.

Thanks and I look forward to putting grandma's Buick to good use. 👍🏾

It's becoming time for a new work truck here also. Thinking about turning my hunting truck into a work vehicle and upgrading my hunting rig. Time to pull the tow rig out and start driving a little. Been parked since October.

I inherited grandma's car when my mother died. Had to pay my sister $6500 for half of it, but still a helluva deal for me as I think the Estate attorney rather undervalued the car. Plus, as the executor of the estate I got the added bonus of telling my sister "No" she could not have the car because I was keeping it for me. She does not handle being told no very well and assumed that she was just going to take the car, lol. 2015 Honda CRV with all the amenities, parked in a garage its whole life until I drove it home, with only 16K miles on it. My 2016 Tundra with 89K miles on it has now been relegated to use strictly for hunting, firewood, and other truck stuff. It is really nice to have a car so easy on gas to tool around town in running errands and such. The proverbial "cherry" My work truck is a 2012 E 150 cargo van with 102K on it. I'm very glad that I don't need to think about a new car for a very long time and won't ever have to buy another commercial vehicle for work.

Yup, I've had a commuter vehicle for years. Handy as hell to have around and a nice security to have options when something needs worked on. I told my wife I should've never sold my VW last year. I was just pissed because someone always wanted to borrow it. Like it was a damn trailer. She let everyone drive it. So I sold it, lol. Now I'd love to have it back! Perks of living in this area is that everything is an hour away. Also the downfall.
