Depends on who makes the argument and how they word it.
Is it a success because the top four are out? Is it a failure because they probably screwed up the seeding? Should they have seeded in a way that OSU vs OSU happened in round 2? Not saying the Buckeyes should have been seeded number 2, but maybe seed them in the other bracket? Then again, who knew they would come out swinging? They could have laid another turd like they did against Mich.
I think you will hear more about how they messed up the seeding than how the playoffs were a success. People like to bitch. Lol

I find it more interesting to note that the teams that all lost were the teams with the byes and most noted the teams that had the longest time off since their previous games. That time off has to have something to do with it.
What about hearing for years that "SEC is the powerhouse". They play "real football" in the south. Yall don't understand "we live for this". Haters for years and years have been silenced and I like that. Coming from a long line of ND fans and having close friends being ND fans, id sure like a chance to shut them up again too. I hope our coaching doesn't let up for a few years. We have the kids to do this. (Yes, this is what hate looks like. Been a lifetime of hearing shit from everyone else.) Let's go Big10 this round! Beat ND so we can see a real game in the championship. Take our paid for roster all the way to the top. They wanted to make college ball about money, this is what it buys. Yes, we supported our team enough to pay the most for our talent. How many years are we gonna do this before a cap is put in place? The money is going to ruin this, not the playoff system.

Yep not as dominant as what they used to be now that it's legal and everyone is paying their players.

Yeah and all the other confrences had to do was whine enough to get practically every rule changed to give them a chance. From a zero penalty transfer portal, 12 team playoff, and shady pay to play NIL roster building scheme. Way to go, for sure something to be proud of and well "earned" indeed.
College football is no longer about recruiting a high-school kid, developing them for years with great coaching, building a winning team of teamates and driving for a meaningful title. Now it's about how many people and businesses they can get to put money in the university ran NIL collective so they can go buy players from other teams. Nothing but a big male soap opera now just like the NFL.

I'd sort of like a chance to beat ND. Can't put the cart in front of the horse. Buckeyes need to beat Texas first. Stomping ND is always satisfying. Sorry Dustin, but not really. Sorry your feelings will be collateral damage.
