I had 9 bucks and 3 does walk by me. I was sitting on my bench in the woods. One doe and two bucks I could have touched as they trotted by. Not the two I was looking for, but good enough.

This weekend it seems the daytime activity is starting to pick up. Seem quite a few 2.5 year olds and younger over the weekend. I did see a nice 2.5 yr old 12pt. Passing on him for two years. I'm waiting for the 150 class 8pt and a very large 160 class 14pt.

Sunday morning a nice 12pt around 8am come through the yard behind a doe. I could not grab my bow fast enough. I was getting ready for church service.

Hocus pocus. The rut happens within 4-6 days every years. Most time within a day or two. The shorter daylight days and weather moves the deer. I forgot - hunters move the deer.

Just gotten to this threat and yes I use a summit and looks like the same. I have noticed the same thing. I now check to make sure the clip is correct. I do wish it was made stronger. I don't use mine as much. I have changed over to climbing sticks, hang-on, safety harness, and a life line...
