I got out on the big lake Thursday,Fri and sat of last week out of metzgers on thur and Fri and catawba on Sat. Did alright all days. Took some time to find fish on Sat. Fished Sandusky bay on Sun along with east harbor. We found some good crappies at east harbor.

I have only seen cacklers once in my life when we shot 6 of them one day. Most of the small geese we see in Ohio are st. James bay geese and richardsons with the occasional lesser.

Have you ever thought about bowhunting waterfowl. It can be done at places like that and its fun. I have an early season goose spot that I can only bowhunt.

I will take my 870 shooting 3in hevi metal 2s out of a kicks hf choke all day over shooting 3.5 in normal shells. I just don't think its needed all the time. But to each his own. You want to buy a new gun have at it. Turkeys might be another gane tho....I havnt done a whole lot of Turkey hunting.
