The only sign of the rut I saw was a couple young bucks chasing does around 11/10 and 11/11. But they start early and often. I know I had a monster buck in my driveway which is a rare occurrence. I think that was around 11/15 at dark. I guess we will see if there is any action this coming...

Looks like I get to eat my fall turkey tag. While turkey hunting today I saw 8 doe all together near my tree stand. As I walked the property perimeter I saw at least two more does and also two bucks walking together on the neighboring property. I'd say the rut is over. Now for shotgun week!

Went out again this morning with my buddy... we saw nothing and heard nothing. My buddy hunted n some heavy thickets in the opposite far corner from where I was where he saw some rubs. I hunted down in a ravine that looked like good buck habitat. Nada! Neither of us even saw one while we were...

I saw nothing today except for two turkeys and about 1000 freakin squirrels! Left at 11:30 too, just as the winds started picking up. I had view of a field over my shoulder and the whole woods in front of me. No deer anywhere. Depressing.

I was planning on getting out all day today but work changed my plans :mad: so I had to postpone my hunt and go to work. I am starting to hear about big bucks moving! Hope I did not miss my chance. I am a volunteer hunter (that cracks me up) for Hamilton County Parks... to help thin the herd...
