It looks like a good, lengthy cold front is due starting on Saturday. That, and the approach of a New Moon next week might get things started. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. That's because to do a week of all days sits, I have to make it next week. Family commitments aren't always fun.

That was a real interesting article. This guy was truly dedicated to killing this buck! It was on land owned by his father in law, who was a real DICK, for not letting his son in law hunt his land initially! This guy literally begged to get permission to eventually hunt this buck. Good read.

For whatever reason, I have yet to see a white oak dropping acorns here in SE Pa. I do tree work for a living, and I'm always looking. I've seen a few red oaks with good drops, but that's it.

Thanks. Actually, I've had that Block target for 3 years now. Like I mentioned, I just shoot three arrows at a time, and might shoot 100 all season, so it holds up pretty well. I'll also do a one shot practice, because you almost never get a second shot.

This is a three shot shooting session at 20yrds, I keep them short. The "spots" are 3", so I'm pretty tight. Levi Morgan I'm not, but these are Muzzy practice broadheads and I'm confident in my shooting for hunting. I don't hunt with field points, so I don't see a reason to practice with them...

I'm not sure on this, because "antlerless" tag allocations change annually county by county, like the weather. For the last 2 years in my WMU, tags were sold out shortly after they became available, where as in the past they never sold out during the entire season! Some say anti hunters are...

The real irony is, I wouldn't have had a problem paying twice the amount that I did to hunt your wonderful state.

Did you ever think about the extra revenue the "invaders" generate for the local economies in Ohio? I have already spent $1800 on my hunt, and I haven't bought gas or food yet. I would think many of these small towns look forward to this extra money spent by the "invaders" every year. No?
