I normally use my rabbit squealer hand call but I have an electronic speaker and calls on my phone. I recently ordered a decoy that moves around from bass pro. I heard that the movement helps draw the coyote in closer. Thanks for the advice!

I've been trapping this year but with the frozen ground it's been a little slow. So instead I've been trying to call in some coyotes but haven't had any luck yet. I see tracks all around but have yet to call one in. Is there any tricks or advice to help kill a coyote?

Welcome Bushmaster16, I'm also new at trapping but when I got my dps I didn't wax or dye them, I don't think scent matters much with coons. Sardines work great in them and good luck!

Merry Christmas everyone ! Got four new duke traps, dye, and coyote urine. Going to work on a few sets this week!

Well last night I went to my local fur trader to take in my coon and while we were up there my dad got me two Duke dog proof traps. We set them out last night as soon as we could and just checked them this morning to find this nice coon.

Well after a nice day out I checked my traps I reset last night and had this little grinner. It's nothing special but I'm really happy to go two days for my first time and get two animals. Learning something new about trapping everyday!

How much are coon going for, for you guys?

Thanks to all you guys for the support, after getting the coon I reset my traps and used stinky chicken for bait. After reading around here looks like marshmallow and syrup is good. Thanks again and I will be checking the traps again tomorrow!
