I tend to shy away from the rabbit distress because everyone and their brother plays it. We've called em in on grey and red fox distress, coon distress, and pup distress. With a couple female howls mixed in.
Ain't nobody going to tell me what I can and can't shoot. If I want to hunt for a big mature buck with a nice rack, i will. If I want to shoot a doe, I will. I might eat my buck tag this year but I'm not shooting something I won't be happy with.
I tend to stick to afternoons only during the late season because the deer are back on a bed to feed pattern much like early season. Ain't no sense in going in at dark just to spook a buck that's on his way back to bed before it gets light out.
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. What do you mean by "make the adults hold their load"? Antler point restrictions are not going to help Ohio. Not when you have two year old 8 points everywhere. There also aren't a whole lot of older guys shooting one year old spike bucks.
