Happy isn't the word for it! This isn't the first deer I've sat beside him and witness everything unfold. It makes my season to watch the kids make fast ethical kills on whitetail. If I get skunked this year I have no one to blame but myself. I've passed up several just so the boys get a chance...

The sardines worked! Whatever was stealing the marshmallows didn't like sardines. But this guy did. :)

Thanks for all the kind words! The marshmallows were gone again. I'll get some sardines tomorrow and try that. We also tried a dirt hole set out behind my dads. Lots of coyote tracks out there. We'll see what that brings tomorrow.

Thanks Badger, I've been on this forum for awhile. I just mainly read and don't post much. I'm glad you guys are helping my son with trapping. I don't trap much anymore but it is a dying breed around here and a much needed skill to keep predator numbers in check.

I stopped on my way home from work to check Youngbucks DP traps only to discover the bait missing out of both?! We put marshmallow in the bottom of them, what could get it out without setting off the trap? Mouse? Bird? Freshened up the bait and going to check them today on way home.
