Set snares yesterday with a friend and he checked them today. He said it looks like it's been chewed through. Would a coyote have done this?

Dumped the carcasses yesterday and set up a cam overlooking them. It didn't take long for the coyotes to find them.

Pulled a camera tonight because it wasn't getting signal. The cable connecting the external battery box was in two pieces. It was dark and I assumed a squirrel gnawed through it. Once I got it home and in the light I instantly thought it had been cut with a knife. What are your thoughts?

I've never seen as many coyotes as I have this year. One farm I've seen a coyote on every hunt there which has been 5. My first hunt there I saw 2, second hunt I saw 5. Now, I'm getting these pics as I type this. I've never hunted coyote but I'm guessing it's high time I learn.

This camera is setup at the entrance/exit of the bedding area. Pretty indicative of the quality of deer available.
