binoculars

Well christmas time is coming and Ive decided its time to finally get a great pair of binoculars that I'll have for the rest of my life(well thats the idea anyway). Ive never owned a "nice" pair of binocs, but think I'll get great use out of them with just about everything I do in the woods...

Help me out guys. I am currently using Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 binoculars for hunting and scouting. I really like them but when scouting from the road they are just not quite enough all the time. I thought about getting some 10x42 but I don't think they will be enough. I am afraid if I go...
