It's salt man. Apparently salt does more than attract deer. Check this trespasser out. He had to walk at least a half mile, through lots of poison ivy, in sandals, to get back where this camera is set up. At least he didn't take the camera and I doubt he was scouting for deer.

when I was checking pics from my cams today I spotted this dude, he hung out for a while, long enough for a three shot burst. the next three shots were of a deer standing in the same spot with the same look on his face. I thought it was the same one but its not, hes a little smaller. check...
