2023-2024 Season Goals thread

It is that time. What goals for the upcoming season does everyone have?

(I suppose in a few counties the season has already begun.)

Mine are very very very simple this year. I want to put a deer in our freezer. One deer. I want to enjoy the woods, be thankful, and be safe. My plate is full. My priorities are different. One deer. I think I might be slipping. Lol

Agreed, simple priorities here also.

A good hunting experience for my oldest two who will be in the woods with me this year.

One deer from one of the three of us for the freezer.

Enjoyment in the woods, quality time with family and friends and safe hunts.

Seriously though, I have a killer spot all set up. I'm more interested in watching the traffic come thru, more than actually filling my tag. If something really nice comes in , then yeah. If not, then no mess.

Put 2 in the freezer for us for the coming year. Ideally 1 with headgear but not gonna get hung up on that. Just want to be safe and enjoy my time in the woods and with friends.

I think your stand placement is going to be critical in order to achieve that goal.

Get Levi a buck he will be happy to have mounted.

Shoot a buck, any buck myself. Been a few years.

Continue to have fun, even when the hunting isn't all that.

Look forward to every hunt.

If I don't feel like going, I'm not going to "grind it out" or "earn it".
