Am I not comprehending this correctly, you can only use deer management permits on control hunts, a few designated public land spots in the cwd zone and private land in the cwd zone, right?

I didn’t realize this was basically the same as a antlerless tag from years ago

I think they actually extended the permits to be good for the bonus gun weekend also. I don't remember that from last year.

Also odd that they didn't make spring turkey regulations yet.

They used to be through the bonus weekend, then only during the gun week, then ended the day before, now back to "shoot em all" (probably to raise numbers of the minimal deer available to shoot) if you can't raise numbers because of population, raise opportunities to increase the number

Hell of can't remember anything anymore. Alaska ruined me on memorizing regulations. You gotta watch current on some things, lol. App also didn't help as everything is so easy to just look at real quick.

My goal is 2 deer a year, whether it’s got antlers on one of them, so be it. But I’ll get one either or, and one management tag. Put the other $60 in my tank

Thankfully one deer will get us thru the year. We are down to 3 in the house. Might as well say 2.5 because our son is either working or in school. Rarely idle.

We eat about 5 now probably will be 6 before too long. Obviously i spread my/boys harvest amongst different counties and states

I will try to get us 2-3 deer. My wife and I both want one made into the honey bbq sticks from the processor up near @5Cent and 1-2 more will be plenty for our eating needs.
