Looking for a 22 rifle. Doesn't need to be pretty, just functional. Its for raccoon issues.

Your not kidding there. I have 5 .22's and can't hardly find any ammo around here and when you do you can only purchase 100 rounds per day.

Honestly, I would look at some of the higher end air rifles. They can make a pointed pellet travel just as fast as a .22 bullet and you can find pellets in almost any sporting good section.

You can find some that will shoot at 1400+ FPS and that will be fine for what your doing. I have used sub sonics and they only shoot at about 800fps
