Let's use this to track this year. @Wildlife can keep the updates on his threads for our adventures, but I'd like to keep a log this year of others. We should have a pretty good year for blood trails. I also have my annual "hunt for dad" going on with @Redhunter1012 and @OhioWhiteTails this year again. Last I heard I could possibly be a base camp for @triple_duece and Hunter also. So this thread had some serious potential for being like old times deer camp. Lots of laughs to be had. Hell, we might even shoot a barn cat or two.

Thanks to @LonewolfNopack we have a pretty good idea about the deer population on the property we are going to hunt. That drone is amazing and I can't say enough about it. No cameras are out as of right now and we have a real solid idea about what we have to hunt.

The more I think about all of this, the more thankful I am for this place. Almost all of my hunting this year will be done with members. That is crazy!

Part of the system of being able to hunt these places, they started a "work day" 3 years ago. They get as many hunters together as they can, pick a property and we go do invasive species removal. Today was that day. I was a brush dragged and a hand saw and spray guy. I am whooped

I am whooped as well. I had 11,000 steps afterwards. Half of those would have been dragging brush. It is worth it.

I go through a pair a year. But I'm also using mine 200+ days a year. They have definitely saved my legs and perhaps life. I keep a tourniquet in the front pocket. With that said there were people there yesterday who definitely shouldn't have been using a chainsaw. I had one guy come up to me and tell me that he was going to follow me around to drag the brush because he didn't trust any of the other guys he saw using chainsaws.
