I've looked at these pics over and over, WOW! It goes to show you how difficult, and special it is to kill a mature animal. I wish you and your dad success on the new property. All that work will pay off.
The farms I hunt around the house have great genetics but are hunted harder than public land. The mature bucks live on neighboring farms in the fall during daylight hours. Very disappointing to get pics of them during the summer just to see them leave in the fall. I have all but given up around the house. We have hunted our new property for 3 seasons now. The quality of bucks has gone up and the close encounters are becoming more common. Now I just need to figure out how to close the deal there.
