Expensive taste. How about a Red Rider?

No joke. And this was right after the case that had all the cheap Heritage 22 pistols. Flag grips, ivory grips, the one with the super long barrel. Nahhhhhh zero interest. $1,500 colt python. "I want that one dad" 🤣 Then my oldest is trying to tell him about the Bond Derringer how its smaller and better for his size. Little does he know it's a 410 / 44 Mag. 🤣

They have a red rider but don't have much interest in it yet because of the gun safety requirements that come with it. They re still about playing cops and robbers and shooting imaginary zombies so they opt for their toy guns.

She's definitely a special one it's the only one I've ever seen in person. A close friend of mine that passed way to young willed it to me . It will sit in the safe as long as I live and then handed down to my son. I plan on taking it out hunting once as that's a memory we planned but never got around to , then she will stay in the safe and pulled out for memory sakes

Such a beautiful gun. I keep going back looking at the pictures. Its not often you see a gun worthy of its own insurance rider. Do you know where your friend got it? From what I understand, which is limited on those guns, that level of engraving and inlay was custom order and there were only 3 or 4 master engravers at Winchester who did it.

I'm not exactly sure where he picked it up. He was a big winchester and colt collector years . I'm planning on sending an email to Pauline Muerrle for insurance questions and general curiosity. She was a factory engraver for Winchester and started her own site

I picked up this jp sauer barreled sporter mauser .30-06. I did some work to it and cleaned it up. Recut all the checkering, timney trigger and replaced the cracked butt plate. It will get a low profile safety when they come back in stock. Half the reason why I bought it was because it has matching claw mounts and rings with a weaver 4 power marksmen scope. The express sights can be seen through the claw mounts. I dont know it if am ready to have my shoulder smashed 6.75 pound 30-06 but it is pretty.

Nice looking gun, but that front mount is a new one for me. Have never seen one mounted like that.

Its a very german style claw mounting system. Here is a better picture of how it works. The front ring hooks into the front mount then you push down and it snaps into the rear mount. To release the scope you pull back on the locking tabs and lift the scope up and off. It locks up very tight.
