Well I finally got it done. I knew this buck was bedding in one of two areas and last night I snuck in on him in the snow accompanied by a good buddy from Indiana. We sat behind a few downed trees and waited no more than 10 minutes before a few smaller bucks came meandering by. I had a gap at 40 yards and double lunged him. He ran 50 yards and piled up. It was the second to last day of the season and I couldn't be more thrilled. He's not my biggest buck, but this year has been super tough with the lack of deer sightings. Now it's time to watch the super bowl and gear up for the shed season!!!
