Bino Harnesses

I know most don’t like bino harnesses due to their bulkiness, but I opt in for using one. I like keeping my binos handy, as well as my rangefinder, milkweed, mouthcalls, headlamp, etc. I have been running the Vortex GlassPak that comes with their binos the past 4 seasons and I’m looking to upgrade as mine is starting to fall apart, and it sits further off my chest than what I like. There are about ten million options out there now, and it is somewhat overwhelming when making a choice. I want something that can hold my binos, rangefinder and milkweed comfortably at a minimum. I have it narrowed down to the Alaskan Guide Creations, FHF Gear, and Badlands. If anyone has any experience with any other brands, I am all ears.

I’ve been looking at Marsupial as well. That may be the route I go

With the amount of use and comfort you get off of this piece. I wouldn't be worried about spending $100-150 every year until you found "the one" that fits your exact needs. I'm sure someone here would buy the used ones. So I wouldn't settle if you end up with one that isn't perfect for you.

The new Sitka one is a bit much for someone like me with my Trex arms, but it is cool. Could even have the wife pack you a sandwich for that one. 🤣

Another Eberlestock user here. Very pleased with it, but do wish I have additional side pouches for a rangefinder and milkweed, but it works and I'm pleased with it so far.

I ended up ordering the FHF Pro-M harness and the E-3 pouch for my range finder since the RF pouch was out of stock. Should be here by end of the week or early the following week. Also stumbled upon a a nearly brand new AGC a fella was selling on FB for $50 so I got that on the way because I’m a whore for a “good deal” lol. More than likely I will sell whichever I favor less than the other. Will follow up once they come in. Thanks for the replies.

I got my FHF harness in the mail a couple days ago. I have it put together and tried it on for a few minutes, have yet to climb with it and shoot with it so that’ll be the “real test” this evening hopefully. First impressions are pretty good. It seems to be well built and thought out, which was expected. The inside is a microfiber-like lining, so pulling out my binos and replacing them is silent - I am a big fan of that. The harness also sits flat and tight to my chest, unlike the Vortex harness I was running that sagged away from me. I also got the E3 pouch to use for my range finder, I didn’t get the specific rangefinder pouch because I am impatient mostly lol. I already know that was a mistake because I do not want a zipper on my RF “holster” and need it to be a quick access, so I’ll have to order the appropriate pouch at some point. So far I am liking it, and will update this thread if that changes.

Update on the FHF Pro-M harness: I really like it, does what I need it to do and it’s quiet. What I didn’t like- male buckle on the left sternum strap slid right off the end of the webbing while hunting the other night. I reached out for a replacement via the chat thing on their website, guy sent me a link to a $1 buckle, $10 to ship it. Thought that was kinda shitty but whatever. Ended up being sold out, so I reached out again to figure out what brand it was so I could just try to find the replacement elsewhere. Guy gave me the direct number to FHF (since FirstLite, Phelps, FHF are altogether now). Called and left a voicemail, dude callled me back in 10 min, and is overnighting 2 replacement buckles no charge. Customer service is a big deal in my book, and other than the little rigamarole, I am pleased.

I was already thinking of what I could do to stop that from happening again lol. Kinda thought that was a stupid design. The end is sewn doubled over, but the webbing is so thin that it doesn’t do shit obviously. Thank you
