When behind a dump truck ever notice it says: "Construction Vehicle.... Don't follow"..... What exactly does this mean??? Who came up with this on the back of truck's??? Dumb if you ask me.... First off: Why in the hell am I going to follow you??? I have my own destination, I have no need to follow you.... Now I could see if it said: Construction Vehicle... Stay Back 150ft.... Makes more sense....

Never ceases to amaze me the number of people who will ride your ass with a trailer full of junk. It seems like the more shit you have haphazardly strapped down the closer they follow.

I put up red tape a lot of times barrier off the crane. The passenger will jump out of a car lift up the tape so the car can drive underneath and continue on through the construction area they really do live amongst us....

There was just a story of over 100 cars that got stranded basically in a farm field after Google directions re-routed them through an unofficial dirt road. Yep over 100........ sheep.....

People are stupid.
An old trucker joke:
In a blinding snow storm, a JB Hunt driver rolls up on a plow truck with flashing amber lights. He tells the plow via CB radio that he is just going to follow him. The plow truck answers, “well, ok”. So after a bit a small talk and driving around for an hour or so the plow truck calls to JB on the radio, “ok, JB, let’s go do the next parking lot “.
Those signs are probably necessary
And another bit of trucker wisdom; don’t follow a semi! Mason is close to getting his license and this is something I stress to him all the time. It’s dangerous, particularly so on hot days. Most class A trailers utilize recap tires and those things blow off all the time, launching 50lb hunks of rubber through the air and potentially through your windshield. They should not be legal. If folks had any idea how often they blow they would never follow a truck down the road. There should be a sign for that...
