Figured I would start a thread to share our coyote hunts....
We called one in this am and Drew missed him at 40 yds...1/2" saved the coyote. Drew was bummed but it was a blast! His 5.56 round blew thru the tree...lol

We were set up back to back on the same tree. I was carrying a 12 ga with 3" 000 buck. Sure wish i was facing his direction and could of sent a few his way!

Last time I went out was last Tuesday for about an hour.

I missed one that evening, just before dark.

I try to get out a few times a week, weather permitting of course, for about an hour or two.

Over the last week, I have had three within range, two misses and one I just couldn't get locked onto.

All of them were called in within a few minutes of using one of my hand calls. Rabbit or mouse in distress.

I've been seeing a lot of deer lately 'TOO'.

Many of the bucks are still carrying as well.

This particular photograph below has four deer in it. None of them with antlers though. The one that is within 100 yards of me, straight away all alone, I believe is a buck without any head gear. The other three are along the filed/wood line edge, approximately 250 yards away, slightly right of the middle of the photo.

Like I said, I try to get out a couple times a week around dusk for about an hour or two near the house this time of year.

With the current weather forecast, I kinda expect some good coyote action for the week.

I'll shall see...

Good luck to all you coyote hunters!

I wish you all great success!!
