During training you do the normal and emergency procedures.That looks like a hydraulic fluid fire. It is on the control side by the manifold. Hard telling what the starter was. I see cover-up hoses, but no one is acting like anything is hot. But if they had it on one shot, it wouldn't be live for long.
So my best "guess" is that the controls came in contact with the live line. Blew the manifold apart and started on fire. This would explain why a bucket rescue was needed and he wasn't lowered with the lower controls.
