So our bear season got extended 4 days into the second week of Dec.. I knew I was playing tag with one or more bears on this hillside of laurel and pines.. Unfortunately they were nocturnal moving only at night.. So I came up empty.. But I had a cam out with a little anise on a log.. Pulled cam last week and had 4 different bears on cam... One sow with cubs, one medium sized bear and one large bear roughly 400-500 lbs... Had some video but cant post but heres a few other pics... It will be a great starting place next year...

Rick... Last two pics are the same bear... Note size of ears, small ears.. small ears = Big Bear.. big ears = small bear...The Sow was also big and I believe her cubs were last years.. I believe they were up late due to the fact there was a good scorn crop there, with acorns still laying around on the ground.. Usually they will stay up as long as there is food and they are getting nutrition out of the food... When they start using more energy finding food than they get out of it, there body slows down..

My marriage barely works now. Tara still whines she only gets half of January, February, and August. Although her and her friends get the rest of the year to perfect their favorite hobby, which is obsessing and bitching about all of ours
She’s really gonna hate my wife...we can go act “real mature” while they point and laugh.
