Digging Root

My sister loves to look for mushrooms in the spring and latley has taken up digging ginseng. I went out with her and my dad couple days ago to see what it's all about. Interesting little hobby. Any root diggers out and about this season?

My sisters letting it all dry now. She plans to sell it but I don't know where. My dad, many years ago would sell it at a trapper store near Chillicothe

I'll be darn, as I thought it was just a weird poison ivy and kept spraying weed killer on it here on the farm. Just kidding.
Does it grow in SW Ohio?

Oh ya, it grows all over. I used to dig 1-2 lbs a yesr when I was 12-15 yo. Hand a kid that age a check for $800-1600 they think they are rich
