I've been trolling and caught channel cats before, but nothing this size. 
He stripped line and pulled my Jackson YuPIK kayak around for over 5 or 6 minutes. 28" is definitely a new record for me. He was so big that the links on my stringer chain wouldn't reach through his gills to where I could latched them outside of his mouth. I let him go! Ferguson Reservoir - east of Lima.
