How does everyone feel about fixing a broken point on a rack before having it mounted... My 2016 Illinois buck had a broken point and my friend wants to fix it before mounting it... I'm up in the air, yeh it will look better, but that's not the deer I shot.. So whats everyone's feelings?

Personally, I'd leave him like he was when you shot him. Now if he took off after the shot, ran into a tree, and busted his rack up I'd get it fixed. Pretty sure your buddy is trying to use you as his guinea pig [emoji23]

I would leave it as is also. I passed on my target buck a few years ago because his G3s were broke. Those were the 2 tines that made him special. Everyone said it could be fixed but he wouldn’t be authentic.
