So I have a questions for you all who plant brassicas. When did you plant this year, and how did it turn out?

I planted 5 acres of beans, then broadcasted the wheat, oats, brassicas into them. It turned out ok but I didn't get them in until the first week of August. I did till a few strips as well.

couple years I ago I planted first week of July and had a great crop of turnips.

I planted the third weekend in July. Two plots had some brassica mixed in and they look great. I got lucky and had 2 decent rains on them before the dry spell hit.

yea I actually had some good water on mine. They did ok, just didn't create the tubulars I was hoping to have. I had some planted July 4th the one year. I had turnips the size of softballs. Gave the deer a lot to eat all winter.

Deer don't eat mine. I've grown some textbook tubers over the years and they just rot. It's a real bummer...

and they hammer mine, only about 1hr up 77 haha
