After 1 miss and 1 deflected arrow and overcoming the learning curve from being used to hunting the flat swampy lands of Louisiana,finally got my first Ohio deer Saturday evening. Big ole taterhead... Center punched the heart and she dropped in her tracts, however I think I hit a branch and the hypodermic opened early because I only got enough penetration to slice the heart on entry side. Gave her a follow up and then the work began.
4 year bow curse is broken, now I can relax and focus on getting an Ohio Bruiser

She was in heat, probably shouldn't have shot the hot doe after seeing a beautiful buck but I had to break the curse, and the buck didn't quite meet what I'm looking for...
