I have a terrible track record when it comes to finding a particular gun that I want. I looked for over two years for a 20 gauge sx4 NWTF shotgun and settled for a different make/model after failing to find one. Now I’m looking for a 17 WSM bolt action with a heavy barrel. I’ve called every gun shop within a two hour drive….no one has one in stock. I did find one sporting good shop that said they still do occasionally get some in stock, and for me to call them back every 3-4 days. Looks like I’m hunting another white whale.
