I'm finally in the know

One final note to all you "smokers". I had bought a smoker and never used it for about a month. With hunting on the ground with Andrew i thought the 1st time we get busted, we will smoke up. We never seen enough deer to get busted during that time, lol. Then it got cold and there was no way i could expect Drew to do the crazy stuff that i do before a hunt, like getting a shower at 5 in the morning and getting dressed outside never letting my hunting clothes see the inside of our house, lol. So i gave in and started smoking our clothes. But i also kept my "good set" scent free for when i got to hunt alone. This past weekend i seen the light. There were deer in the plot when we walked in fri and we just sat back until they moved on. The wind was blowing right at them and they just did their thing. Then sat there was a heavy 8 pointer there and same results. He crossed the old drag road that we were laying on at 30 yds as we waited to get in the blind. The buck Andrew shot was 10 yd away when he first showed up. His nose was in the air. Was it the doe pee or the smoke? I don't know but the smoke didn't hurt. Im all in and even my "good clothes" are smoked now, lol.

The hardest thing is getting people to try it. Once that happens they never leave home without it. Congrats to Austin on an awesome buck deer.

Yes it took me awhile to come around. But since using the Smoker I have not have deer bust out on me because of scent. I shot a doe standing on my walkin scent trail. And the buck I missed was standing on my walkin scent trail. I have had does feed on my scent trail for 15 minutes and never had a problem.
I'm convinced the Smoker works.

Thats me. Obliviously the results of everyone speak for itself. It just went against what i practiced for years. With that said, Drew and I are sitting in a blind right now smelling good, lol.

Congratulations to young Andrew and you! You are right, there is no better feeling than watching your kid get a deer!

That's AWESOME man! I ran across the thread you started last year with the history of him hunting, and I know that this is just another page in the story with many, many more to come!
