Is this possible? Seriously?

Very. I've shot a many of them with a .22 and had the bullet skip off. It's not they they're she'll is super hard it's just the angle. Their shell is about the same density as a cars tail light plastic.

Funny story. Back home in Mississippi for years almost every armadillo I would shoot had a bobtail. I told everybody about these armadillos around our farm that had bobtails. One day I figured out they were not born that way as I thought. I saw our half lab half terrier mix chase one and grab it by the tail. Eventually she ripped the tail off.

I have real doubts as to that's what really happened. The story of bouncing off the armadillo, bounce off a fence, then go 300 ft, through a door, and then through a chair to injure her. I can't see it happening and think it's a story he made up to cover his ass on a stupid shot. The true facts will come out later.
