I’ve been hanging around TOO for a good while and I’ve certainly matured and changed over the years - for the better.
Throughout my time at TOO I’ve had some amazing observational learning opportunities and also some direct advice learning opportunities, that have helped me in life hunting and non-hunting related.
I figured a lot of others had the same situation and I wanted to start a thread where we could give credit to those who have helped us along the way. For sake of length - I’ll start with three.
1. My favorite hunting advice ever given was by @brock ratcliff I believe he was talking to Jesse one year about a rushed shot and he simply, yet profoundly stated “enjoy the process of aiming”. This resonated with me and I tell myself this every time I draw back on an animal.
2. @bowhunter1023 - Jesse has taught me the art of organization. The way Jesse attacks a problem or season has always inspired me to be more prepared and organized. I’ve learned this mostly through observational analysis of his threads.
3. @Jackalope - joe has taught me the art of data gathering, to make a point. It’s so easy to spew bullshit on the internet. Joe always sites sources and has clear concise data points. As I’ve gotten older I don’t care much for debate (especially on the internet). However, this is a great lesson just for knowledge expansion on any given topic. Again, I’ve learned this from just observing Joes approach to various dialogs on the site.
I hope others can add to this and find this as a useful thread.
