Live from the stand!!! Sort of lol

My oldest son and myself arrived at the property to cut and trim lanes. Got it all done before dark and put some golden acorns near our bow stands.

This morning my son ain’t ready as usual. He ask me for an arrow, I’m like what? Fug head didn’t bring his quiver. I’m thinking ok we got this. Drive out from the camp to the property and my mind is going 100 mph. Ain’t no way I’m letting him in a stand w a loose arrow. I hand him my bow and we get to his tree as I help him set up. Both thermacells were dry, and skeeters are bad. So here I am sitting in a rifle stand observing getting ate up. Would’ve been nice to be in a tree, even tho I had no plans to kill. Anyway, I will update later. Good luck to everyone hunting.

My boy had two fawns and a bunch of skeeters so far. I’ve seen one coon.

Yeah it’s all about memories, the great, good, ok and not so good. Any day out in the woods is much better than work. Lessons learned and I still need to follow up on my boys, you got this, you got that? They 20 and 22, you’d figured they be squared away but ohhhhh nooo!

No biggie, our hunting don’t get good till mid December-January. We all going camping and making a hunt in north Arkansas next Thursday. Tent and boat, all good. Primitive weapon hunt for 5 days, I’m gonna shoot one “In da face”. Lol.
He just text me saying his getting down at 9. Legal shooting time was 6:37, all good I’m sitting in my stand w no weapon playing with my noodle haha.

Oh I forgot to add, pulled up to park and get Atv out of truck. I smell something like oil, open tailgate and my gallon of bar oil decided to lubricate the bed. With all that went wrong this morning it could’ve been much worse. Count your blessings everyday.
